Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday reaffirmed that every single person involved in the killing of Nusrat Jahan Rafi will be brought to book.

She made the remark when the Feni madrasa student’s family members met her at her office in Dhaka, the prime minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told reporters.

Nusrat's parents — AKM Musa and Shirin Akhter — and two brothers called on the prime minister in the morning, reports UNB.

The prime minister also consoled them and expressed her deep sympathy for them.

"None of the culprits will be spared from legal action," said Hasina.

She also assured the family members of extending all sorts of support to them, and arranged a job for Nusrat's brother Mahmudul Hassan Noman with NRB Global Bank.

NRB Global Bank Chairman Nizam Chowdhury was also present at the time.

Nusrat, an Alim student of Sonagazi Islamia Fazil (Degree) Madrasa in Feni’s Sonagazi upazila, was set afire on April 6 morning for refusing to withdraw a case filed against madrasa Principal Sirajuddaula for sexually harassing her last month.

After fighting for life for five days with 80% burns on her body, the 18-year-old died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on April 10.
