Both were involved in the girl's murder from planning to execution, police says
Two of the key accused in the murder of Feni madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi have been brought to court for confessional statements.
Student leaders Nur Uddin and Shahadat Hossain Shamim were brought in front of Feni Senior Judicial Magistrate Zakir Hossain on Sunday afternoon, Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Inspector Shah Alam, the investigating officer in the murder case, told the Dhaka Tribune.
Nur Uddin and Shamim are the second and fourth named suspects in Nusrat murder case. They are Chhatra League leaders at Feni’s Sonagazi Islamia Fazil Degree Madrasa, where Nusrat was allegedly molested by her Principal Md Sirajuddaula.
Investigation has found Nur Uddin met Siraj in jail to get instructions for Nusrat's murder, while Shamim, whose advances the victim had refused several times, took part in the killing himself.
PBI arrested both of them from Mymensingh on Friday.
