A suspected drug trader has been killed in a reported gunfight with the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Dhaka's Shyamoli.
The incident occurred around 6am on Wednesday.
The deceased, Mehedi, 32, had around 17 cases filed against him.
By text message, RAB 2 stated that they had been conducting an anti-drug drive in the area when the "gunfight" took place.
Furthermore, two RAB members were injured in the incident.
The elite force recovered foreign revolvers, bullets, and a large amount of heroin from the spot.
