Two people have been detained in connection with the murder of Mahfuza Chowdhury Parvin, former principle of Eden College.
One of the detainees has been identified as domestic helper Swapna. New Market police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Atiqur Rahman confirmed to the Dhaka Tribune.
Details about this matter will be disclosed at a press conference later in the day, he added.

Previously, on February 11, a case was filed against two domestic helpers, in connection with the murder.
The accused are Reshma, 30 and Swapna, 36; who went into hiding after the murder.
On February 10, police recovered the body of Mahfuza Chowdhury Parvin from her apartment at Sukanya Tower on Elephant Road in Dhaka.
