Supreme Court lawyer Zubair Ahmed Bhuiyan has reportedly gone missing in Dhaka.
In addition to being a lawyer, Zubair is a former central committee member of Islami Chhatra Shibir and also used to be the organizations DU unit president.
When contacted, his sister Ferdoshe Begum told the Dhaka Tribune Zubair was picked up by men in plain clothes claiming to be detectives from the Karwan Bazar area of the capital around 1:30pm on Thursday.
She added that the alleged detectives took him to his office at Bijoy Nagar around 4:00pm and also picked up another man named Bashir. Both men are yet to be found.
Detective Branch (DB) Assistant Commissioner Sahadat Hossain said police have not detained Zubair, but they are trying to find his whereabouts.
