The Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee has rescheduled its November 4 event marking Constitution Day.
“It is being suspended for unavoidable reasons,” the committee said in a media statement on Saturday.
The event, a discussion, will be held on November 8 at the Institution of Engineers.
The committee said it had been observing the day for the last 20 years.
On November 4, 1972, Bangladesh’s independence hero Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his associates gave the nation its constitution remarkably rapidly.
The four ideals of the constitution were: democracy, nationalism, secularism, and socialism. It also banned religion-based politics.
