A total of 7,319 cases have been filed against traffic offenders in Dhaka on the second day of the ongoing Traffic Week.
The traffic department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police also imposed fine of Tk46,67,072 on Monday, the online portal of DMP said .
Some 142 motorbikes were impounded and 837 vehicles were also dumped during the drive.
The cases were filed for charges including not having fitness certificates, driving on the wrong side of the road, using hydraulic horns, hooter and beacon lights and tinted glass on windows.

Furthermore, 1,496 cases were filed against drivers for violating traffic rules.
The Traffic Week that began on Sunday will continue till Saturday (August 11).
On Saturday, DMP decided to observe Traffic Week with an aim to take strict measures against traffic violations amidst student protest demanding safe roads.
So far, 14,400 cases were filed and Tk88.85 lakh were fined on various charges.
