The owner of Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan transport service M Shahadat Hossain was arrested over the deaths of two high school students in Sunday’s bus crash on Airport Road.
Confirming the news, RAB-1 Commander Sarwar Bin Kashem, the elite force picked him up from Dhaka on Wednesday.
Sarwar said details about his arrest will be disclosed later.
Earlier, RAB arrested three drivers and two assistants of three buses from different parts of Dhaka and Barguna in connection with Sunday’s bus crash.
Diya Khanam Mim and Abdul Karim Rajib, two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin School and College, were killed when a bus ploughed through them in front of Kurmitola General Hospital on Airport Road on Sunday, July 29.
Diya’s father has filed a case with Cantonment police station over the accident.
