The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has cancelled the registration and fitness certificates of two Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan buses, reports the UNB.

Last Sunday, one of the company’s buses was involved in an accident that left two college students in Dhaka dead.

Confirming the matter, BRTA Deputy Director (Engineer 1) Sheikh Md Mahbub-e Rabbani told the correspondent: “The registration and fitness certificates of the two Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan buses have been cancelled. We are taking the initiative to cancel the driver’s licenses of the two drivers as well.”

On Sunday, Diya Khanam Mim and Abdul Karim Rajib, students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin School and College, were killed as a Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan bus ploughed through students. The incident occurred infront of Kurmitola General Hospital on Airport Road.

Students took to the roads in Dhaka, for the fourth consecutive day, on Wednesday, demanding justice for the road accident victims.
