Bangladesh Chhatra League on Tuesday suspended the activities of its Jagannath University (JnU) unit for an indefinite period, following a factional clash on the campus.
"We've decided to suspend the activities of our JnU unit and formed a six-member probe body to look into the matter," Chhatra League General Secretary SM Jakir Hossain told UNB.
Four people, including a journalist, were injured in a clash between two factions of Chhatra League over a trifling matter on Tuesday.
The two groups - one led by the JnU Chhatra League president and the other by its general secretary - engaged in the clash at around 10 am, over the taking of a photograph.
A chase and counter-chase took place between the Chhatra League activists over the issue.
When contacted, JnU Proctor Prof Nur Muhammad said police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
