Assistant commissioner among two injured as truck rams police vehicle

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Saiful Islam of Darussalam traffic zone and the driver of his police vehicle have been badly injured, after their car was hit by a truck in Shahbagh area in Dhaka. The driver and helper of the truck were arrested by the police soon after the incident Monday morning. Confirming the news, Shahbagh police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Shujon said: “ACP Saiful Alam and his driver have been admitted to Square Hospital. The ACP was going to Darussalam police station through Shahbagh when a truck loaded with goods hit his car, critically injuring him and the driver. The right side of the police car was badly damaged.” Officer-in-Charge of Shahbagh police station said: “We have arrested the driver and helper of the truck, and a case is in process to be filed.”This article was first published on banglatribune.com
