Overzealous BNP activists locked into a series of chase and counter-chases with law enforcement personnel on the street in front of the Supreme Court premises in Dhaka on Thursday.
On December 5, a similar incident resulted in the vandalizing of more than 100 vehicles in the area.
The clash had ensued right after a motorcade carried BNP party chief Khaleda Zia to a court in the Bakshibazar area.
The BNP chairperson appeared before a special court in a graft case on the day.
Maruf Hossain, deputy commissioner (Ramna zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said: “Police tried to dissuade them as they were breaking through barricades.”
The BNP activists also hurled brickbats at law enforcers, leaving some of them injured, he claimed.
