Another person was also arrested in the Nasirnagar vandalism case late Monday night.
Nasirnagar Officer-in-Charge (OC), Abu Jafar told the Dhaka Tribune that they had intelligence of the five arrestee's involvement in the arson attack.
“The arrested were also from the adjacent areas of Nasirnagar Sadar union,” he said adding that they were sent to court.

Two arson cases were filed by a victim and by the police with the Nasirnagar police station after the attacks took place.
SI Kauser Hussain, investigation officer (IO) of the cases told the Dhaka Tribune they were suspecting that the planner of the hit and run arson attack is among the arestees.
When asked about sending evidence to Chittagong CID, he said he is still waiting for a court order.
