A total of 1,831 people involved in various crimes have been arrested in special police operations conducted across the country, including in the capital Dhaka. This information was disclosed in a message sent by the Police Headquarters on Friday.
According to the statement, in the past 24 hours, police arrested 1,233 people across the country based on cases and warrants. In addition, 598 more individuals were arrested for other offenses during the operation.
The operation also led to the seizure of two single-barrel guns, two pipe guns, eight used cartridge shells, six rounds of ammunition, and three locally-made weapons.
The Police Headquarters stated that such operations will continue in order to maintain law and order in the country.
