Lieutenant Commander Khandaker Munif Taki, the media officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters,  revealed the information at a press briefing.

On a tip-off, the force’s Saint Martin station conducted a raid in Golapara Jhawban area adjacent to Shah Pori Island. They traced down two persons dropping three sacks from a speed boat on the eastern side of Golapara Jhawban.

Later, the same persons were seen  going towards Jhawban with the sacks. When the Coast Guard members challenged the men, they left the sacks and fled the scene, Khandaker Munif Taki said.

The members of Coast Guard recovered the ICE and cans of Andaman Gold Beer from the sacks.

Khandaker Munif Taki said that the seized drugs were handed over to Teknaf model police station for further action.
