A police constable was killed in a clash with supporters of BNP in Fakirapool area on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Aminul Parvez, a constable of DMP's CTTC unit.
Media cell of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
Md Bacchu Miah, inspector of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, said that the body was kept in DMCH morgue for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, 41 policemen were injured in the clashes with BNP.
