The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will investigate the allegation of acquiring huge amount of money and property of two officials of Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Bangladesh Police.
One of them is Assistant Superintendent of Police Sarwar Kabir who is working with CID in Rangpur while the other is sub-inspector Waliullah posted in Dhaka CID office.
Director of ACC Syed Iqbal Hossain will work as the investigation officer, Deputy Director of ACC Public relation office Muhammad Arif Sadeq told UNB.
According to ACC, they received an allegation that Sarwar accumulated more than Tk1 crore within three years of joining the job.
The Commission mentioned that Sub- Inspector Waliullah built a 7 story building in Rajarbagh, bought a land with ready building in Dhaka's Uttara and Netrokona while he also purchased huge land in Sunamgang and Mymensingh districts.
The sub-inspector also owns a private car, the commission added.
