Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on separate drives arrested 10 alleged smugglers in possession of Indian contraband worth Tk4.2m in different parts of Jhenidah district town on Friday.
Additional Director Major M Nahiduzzaman of BGB Battalion Six said working on secret information, a team of the border force conducted separate drives in different areas of Jhenidah town in the afternoon and arrested 10 smugglers including seven women.
The team also recovered 177kg of Indian cumin seeds, 135kg milk, 88kg raisins and other valuables worth about Tk4.2m from the arrestees.
