A senior judicial magistrate of Bogra has ordered the district's Shibganj police officer-in-charge to file a defamation case against an unidentified person or a community for using the Chief Justice's photo on a Facebook page and posting false, indecent and defamatory information on the page.
Judge Ahsan Habib ordered the Shibganj OC to file a First Investigation Report (FIR) as per the ICT Act 2006.

The judge ordered the case be appointed to a police officer of rank assistant superintendent of police or above with ICT expertise within the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of the police to ensure a report is submitted within July 6.
In the order, the judge said the person or a community has opened a Facebook page named "Shaadhin Bichaar Bibhaag" with Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha's photo as the profile photo, where indecent comments have been posted to falsely accuse the Chief Justice for corruption and for supporting the religious agenda of Hefazat-e-Islam.
