The worldwide cyber attack this past weekend, or ransomware attack to be precise, affected at least 30 computers in Bangladesh.
According to the Crime Research and Analysis Foundation (CRAF), a total of 30 personal computers were affected by the WannaCry ransomware.
CRAF collected the data from the number of complaints they received.
Tanvir Hasan Zoha, advisor at CRAF told the Dhaka Tribune on Monday that Bangladesh was not part of the core targets, but could be a potential target in the future.

“Users should not open e-mails from unknown senders. Of the 30 computers affected, 19 are now working after the ransomware was removed,” Tanvir said.
About 150 countries were affected in the attack, with over 200,000 victims and 100,000 organisations including hospitals and other services also reporting being infected.
The attack was stopped on Sunday by a British cybersecurity expert who accidentally stumbled upon the malware’s domain and effectively blocked it.
Experts have warned that a second wave of the attack could happen anytime, with the next version even more dangerous.
