Customs Intelligence Investigation Directorate (CIID) has recovered ten bottles of liquor from a room of The Raintree Dhaka hotel, where two university students were reportedly raped in late March.
"A CIID team found the bottles during a drive to check out the updated status of hotel’s VAT and taxation clearance on Sunday," CIID Director General Dr Moinul Khan told the Dhaka Tribune.

"Now we are going to search every room of the hotel," he added.
The hotel’s Internal Operations Executive Farjan Ara Rimi could not be reached on her phone after several attempts.Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) however found nothing illegal during its second raid at the hotel on Saturday to investigate allegations that the hotel illegally ran a bar.
Raintree hotel Manager Franck Forget denied the allegation, saying: "We only have a coffee bar."
