A Jubo League leader has been hacked to death due previous enmity, in Natore.
The incident took place in the Sadar upazila’s Dattapara area on Thursday.
The deceased Hasan Ali, 24, was the ward 1 Jubo League president of the Harishpur union. He was the son of Monglar Kha of Dattapara.
Meanwhile an angry mob set fire to two houses of the alleged murderers.
Sadar police station OC Jalaluddin confirmed the matter.
Family members say there was a feud between UP Member Salahuddin Sentu and Hasan Ali to establish dominance in the area.
Sahahuddin’s men attacked Hasan when he was having tea at a local tea stall, at the Dattapara Bazar and hacked him indiscriminately, in the evening.
Hasan was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where he died around 8:45pm.
As the news of his death spread, an angry mob set fire to houses of Salahuddin’s men Sohan and another.
“Natore Fire Service men were trying to douse the fire,” the OC said.
