Customs Intelligence Director General (DG) Dr Moinul Khan said: “The cigarettes were from a passenger, after he arrived here from Dubai on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight around 10:45am on Friday.
“We found the cigarettes in two cartons and luggage belonging to the passenger.”
He added that the seized cigarette included 170 packets of Benson & Hedges and 60 packets of 303.
According to Bangladesh’s import policy, bringing foreign-made cigarettes without anti-smoking warning labels is prohibited.
