Luxurious Rolls-Royce seized in Dhaka

The car has been seized from the inland container deport (ICD) of capital’s Kamalapur, said Moinul Khan, director general of Customs Intelligence. He said: “The car is from Rolls-Royce Ghost Series. It is very expensive.” The 6600cc car was imported duty-free by the expelled North Korean diplomat Han Son declaring it to be a BMW X5.However, Han Son was dismissed in last August due to his involvement in smuggling cigarettes. Customs Intelligence estimated the car's market value to be around Tk30cr and the payable tax is around Tk22cr.
