The gold bars were found in a Regent Airways flight that came in from Muscat on Saturday morning, Customs Intelligence Director General Moinul Khan said.
"We raided the aircraft after a tip-off about gold smuggling," he said, adding that each bar weighed 116.65gm,
They were found abandoned under a seat.
No one has been arrested in this regard.
“The gold will be handed over to Bangladesh Bank. We will try to find out if airport officials were involved in the smuggling,” the DG added.
