An activist of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) was sentenced to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment in an arms case in Chapainawabganj on Monday.
Abdul Manib Islam, 32, was arrested from his bedroom at Diar village in Shibganj upazila with a shooter gun and three rounds of bullet on June 18, 2009, said Public Prosecutor Jobdul Haque.
Later, police filed an arms case against him.
He was arrested on information provided by another JMB man Abdul Momin, who was indicted in another case.
