The Bangladesh Supreme Court has launched a helpline number to assist complainants and service seekers.
Supreme Court Public Relations Officer Md Shafiqul Islam confirmed the development through a circular issued on Wednesday.
According to the notification, the helpline will assist individuals who encounter difficulties or obstacles while receiving services from any branch of the Supreme Court Registry.
Service recipients can call the helpline at +8801316154216 for advice and information regarding any service-related issues.
An officer from the Supreme Court Registry will manage the helpline, offering necessary support.
The service will be available from Sunday to Thursday, between 10am and 4pm, excluding public holidays.
The initiative follows a 12-point directive issued by Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed on September 18 to ensure transparency and accountability in the professional duties of Supreme Court officials.
The instructions include speeding up service delivery, avoiding financial transactions in official duties, preventing unnecessary delays, and showing empathy towards service recipients.
The helpline aims to streamline the services offered by the Supreme Court’s various branches and facilitate easier access for those seeking justice.
