A mobile court on Monday sentenced a man to six-month imprisonment for vote rigging during the seventh phase UP polls in Thakurgaon.
The man was caught in the act at a polling centre under Senua Union Parishad by law enforcers.
The arrestee was identified as Ranjit, 24, hailing from Molanbari area of the UP.
Meanwhile, police arrested four youths for vote rigging in Comilla's Burichang upazila in the morning.
Voting to the 138 unions in the seventh and final phase of the union parishad were held on Monday.
Voting began at the polling centres at 8am and continued till 4pm.
