Two more people testified in the graft case filed against Pradeep Kumar Das, former officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf police, and his wife Chumki Karan on Wednesday.
The court of Chittagong Divisional Special Judge Munshi Abdul Majid recorded the statements of Cox’s Bazar and Chittagong Sadar circle sub-registrars Shah Ashraf Uddin and Jahangir Alam, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) lawyer Mahmudul Haque told the media.

With the two, the court has so far completed recording the testimonies of 12 witnesses in the case.
Pradeep, facing death penalty for the murder of a former army officer, was present in the dock.
The court fixed April 19 for further proceedings in the case filed for accumulation of illegal wealth.

According to the charge sheet, Chumki owns a six-storey building at Patharghata and a house in Sholashahar area of Chittagong, 45 ounces of gold, a car, a microbus, a bank account and a flat in Cox’s Bazar.
Meanwhile, Pradeep’s legal and acceptable income is Tk24,466,234 while immovable and moveable assets worth Tk48,064,651, he added.
The ACC has found proof of accumulation of illegal assets worth Tk23,598,417 against Pradeep, he further said.
