A Joypurhat court on Thursday sentenced three persons including a woman to death sentence for murdering a man in 2016.
District and Sessions Judge Md Nur Islam handed down the verdict to Aklima Begum, 27, Selim, 34, and Aynul Hossain, 37.
According to the prosecution, the convicts hacked microbus driver Rahim Badsha to death in Barokando Road area under Panchbibi Upazila over adultery on July 10, 2016.
Following the murder, the victim's father filed a case accusing unknown people.
Police arrested Selim, who had an affair with convict Aklima, before pressing the charge sheet.
Selim and Aynul were present during the judgment while Aklima remained absconding.
