A Dhaka court on Sunday granted bail to Dhallywood actor Eka in a case filed at Hatijheel police station on charges of torturing her house help.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mamunur Rashid passed the order after Eka's lawyer filed her bail plea before the court.
After the hearing, the court granted her bail on a bond of Tk10,000 with two guarantors -- one of whom must be a lawyer and the other a legal guardian.
On August 10, another court had also granted her bail in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.

Eka was arrested from her apartment in the capital’s Hatirjheel area after neighbours called 999 to report the torture of house help Hazera Akhter.
During her arrest, police seized five yaba tablets, some cannabis and a bottle of liquor from Eka’s house.
Later, Haterjheel police started the two cases against the actor.
