A Rangamati court on Monday sentenced a Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) member to ten-year imprisonment, in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act.
Rangamati District and Sessions Judge Md Jahed Saiful Elahi passed the order.
Convicted JMB member Shamim Mirza Galib has been in jail for more than 15 years, said Public Prosecutor Advocate Rafikul Islam.
According to the case statement, in 2001, Galib was behind the blast at Dignity Hotel in Rangamati.
