A case has been filed at Shahbagh police station against unidentified Facebook users on charges of contempt against Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha on a Facebook page.
Court-keeper Abu Bakr filed the case with Shahbagh police station on Sunday afternoon.
Shahbagh police Officer-in-charge (OC) Abul Hasan confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said a Facebook page recently allegedly criticised the Chief Justice. Abu Bakr filed a case under Section 57.
The OC said the accused are unidentified, but the police is looking into the matter to identify them.
