JKG Health Care CEO Ariful Chowdhury and his associates Sayeed Chowdhury have landed in jail after a second round of remand.
Police produced the duo in court on Sunday after interrogating them in custody for four days.
“Important information have been gleaned from the suspects during the remand, which can’t be disclosed for the sake of the probe,” Investigating Officer Md Liakat Ali told the court
The defence moved bail petitions, but Metropolitan Magistrate Mahmuda Akter turned them down before sending the defendants to jail.
On June 24, police arrested Ariful and four others for their alleged involvement in a Covid-19 testing scam.
They have brought charges against JKG Healthcare of providing false reports without testing the swabs collected from the people for test.
