The Supreme Court sent a High Court bench officer into compulsory retirement after proven allegations of a departmental case against him.
The Supreme Court administration published a circular in this regard on its website on Tuesday, signed by Md Golam Rabbani, registrar for the High Court division.
The circular said, according to the Bangladesh High Court division employees’ (Discipline and Appeal) rules 1983, bench officer Md Rafiqul Islam has been sent into compulsory retirement after he was found guilty in a departmental case filed against him.
However, the circular did not mention the allegation against him.
On June 15, Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain temporarily suspended Rafiqul after he was accused in the case.
According to government employees’ rules, he will get all the benefits for his service term.
