A Dhaka court has granted bail to four more private university students, who were arrested in a number cases filed over vandalism and attacks on police during the recent movement demanding safe roads.

Metropolitan Magistrate AKM Mainuddin Siddiqui issued the order on Monday.

The students are Aminul Ehsan, Saber Ahmed Ullash, Risalatul Ferdous, and Md Baizid. They were accused in cases filed with the Bhatra and Badda police stations.

With the latest order, all 22 private university students, accused in cases filed with the aforementioned police stations, were granted bail. Eighteen students were granted bail on Sunday.

On Sunday, several Dhaka courts granted bail to 40 students of different institutes.

Students of several private universities clashed with police, earlier this month—while protesting against the attacks on school and college students in Dhaka during the latter’s movement for safe roads.

Many of these students were later arrested in separate cases filed with different police stations. They were denied bail several times.
