The court also asked the authorities concerned to explain why they should not be ordered to provide facilities, which aspirants from Bangla medium institutions enjoy, to English medium students.
The bench of Justice Quamrul Islam Siddique and Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif came up with the ruling responding to a writ petition filed by Atiqur Rahman, a Supreme Court lawyer.
The petitioner's lawyer Reza Md Sadeqeen told reporters that admission seekers from English medium institutions face problems as the question papers are prepared in Bangla.
The education secretary, health secretary, University Grant Commission chairman, Dhaka University vice-chancellor and Buet vice-chancellor are among the respondents to the ruling.
