American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) has secured the top position among private universities in Bangladesh in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, placing in the 801–1000 global ranking band.
Published on Wednesday, the latest edition of the THE World University Rankings assessed 2,297 universities from 118 countries.
AIUB’s placement reflects its performance across key areas assessed by THE, including teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement and international outlook.
The ranking methodology also incorporates indicators related to research performance, citations, student-to-staff ratio, industry engagement and international outlook.
The THE World University Rankings provides comparative assessments of universities across multiple dimensions, including teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international engagement.
AIUB’s position in the 2027 rankings highlights the university’s continued focus on academic excellence, research, industry collaboration and international engagement, according to the university.
