The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has hosted the inauguration of the American Founders Museum Exhibition, marking the 250th anniversary of US independence.
The exhibition was jointly organized by ULAB, the US Embassy in Dhaka and the EMK Center at the D Building Lobby of ULAB’s permanent campus on Monday.
The inauguration was followed by an interactive session with students conducted by Richard Bruner, deputy director of public engagement at the US Embassy in Dhaka.
In his opening remarks, Bruner highlighted the significance of the exhibition and emphasized the importance of understanding the history, culture and enduring values that have shaped the United States.
He also engaged with students during the session, sharing insights into the exhibition and its historical significance.
ULAB Vice Chancellor Prof Shamsad Mortuza appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of providing students with opportunities to engage with international cultural and historical perspectives.
The event was attended by deans of various schools, heads of departments and offices, faculty members and students of ULAB, along with representatives from the US Embassy in Dhaka and the EMK Center.
The exhibition will remain open from August 17 to September 5, offering students, faculty members and visitors an opportunity to explore the history and founding of the United States.
