The International Crimes Tribunal 2 yesterday ordered the investigators to submit report by April 30 on two Habiganj brothers who are suspected for committing crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.
The time was given after prosecutor Sultan Mahmud Simon sought one more month to submit the report.
On March 11, the tribunal had asked the prosecution to submit the investigation report by yesterday.
Mahibur Rahman Boromian, 70, former chairman of Baniachong’s Khagaura union parishad, and Majibur Rahman Angur Mian, 65, the incumbent chairman, were arrested on February 10.
They allegedly formed razakar force in their area and used to hand freedom fighters over to the Pakistani Army. They were also involved in killing, arson and looting.
