To attract the visitors of all ages, they organised different programmes this year, said Engineer Iftekhar Hossain, committee convener of the 8th Rehab Fair.

A total 67 stalls are set up in the fair while 47 are from REHAB member business organisations, 16 are from building materials organisations and four are from financial organisations.
Besides, the fair will also feature a seminar with the participation of engineers and architects on June 19, “Kids Day” on June 20 and closing ceremony on June 22 through ongoing fair and other amusement programmes to attract the visitors.
Six business organisations are the co-sponsors of the fair while seven others organisations sponsor different events of the fair.

Earlier, state minister for land Saifuzzaman Javed, as chief guest, formally inaugurated the fair by cutting ribbons at around 12:30p.m.

“As our government has planned to develop Chittagong as a standard port city, it is carrying out different development projects in the city, which will be completed in the tenure of the incumbent government,” the minister added. The housing companies have to maintain their credibility to the common people by with better service on time, said CDA chairman.
CMP commissioner said that the housing companies should save the farmlands to ensure the food security as the trend of the housing projects are busy in grabbing the lands indiscriminately across the country.
REHAB president said that the administration and CDA can remove the housing problems of the middle class and lower middle class people by allotting lands for them with the assistance from REHAB.
