Grameenphone, the market leader mobile phone operator in the country has recorded 13.67% growth in profit after paying tax in the first quarter ended on March 31.
The operator made a Tk516.01 crore profit while it managed Tk453.96 crore profit first quarter of 2013, as per an un-audited quarterly accounts.
Grameenphone have already gave this figure to the Dhaka Stoke Exchange, which it will publish through a press conference on Tuesday evening.
At the end of this first quarter (January to March), Grameenphone's earnings per share (EPS) stand Tk3.82 as against consolidated profit after paying tax (excluding non-controlling interest).
It’s consolidated EPS was Tk3.36 for the same period in the previous year.
Grameenphone, however, managed to add 15 lakh new active subscribers within these three months and it now stands on with 4.86 crore customers.
