Talented singer Waqeel represents common people’s annoyance and frustration on the growing noise pollution caused by excessive use of horn through his new track titled Pothocharir Artonad.
He digitally released the song at Mushroom Entertainment’s platform and it will be available on all international outlets including iTunes, Amazon mp3, GooglePlay, Rhapsody and few others. The song is also regularly being aired on different FM channels and creating waves.
Having around 1500 self written songs in his possession, Waqeel has come up with the song with the motto to generate awareness about the dreadful impact of noise pollution. About his recent track, Waqeel said: “I have written the song from the perspective of a pedestrian. The city life has become almost intolerable because of the unnecessary honking of horns. With the notion of protecting the environment and as a responsible citizen, it is my duty to raise my voice on the issue. If the song can inspire even five percent people to resist themselves from honking unnecessarily, my work will be successful.”
Waqeel has previously addressed burning issues like deforestation, drug addiction, transgender issue, bad impact of excessive use of cell phone and few more in some of his songs.
The talented singer-composer-lyricist recently won MTV Gold Disk Award for the music video of Amrito Megher Bari which topped the MTV Bangladesh’s chart for six weeks. The show, MTV Chart Attack, features the most followed songs and videos based on public voting. The fusion singer’s unique styled rendition has given a new flavor to the Lalon song without hampering the originality of the song of soil.
In his upcoming album, Waqeel is going to enchant the audience by presenting an array of romantic songs having Eastern emotions in the lyrics while Western expressions in the musical arrangement. As part of the project, he already completed two duet songs with eminent singer Fahmida Nabi.
