Mahia Mahi and Arifin Shuvoo-starring latest action-thriller Agnee has broken all previous box office records of Dhallywood by collecting over Tk3 crore only in three days, Muntahidul Liton, head of marketing of the film’s production house Jaaz Multimedia, told the Dhaka Tribune.
Director Iftakar Ahmed’s big-budget film Agnee, which was released on February 14 simultaneously at 92 cinemas, scored big on the opening day by earning Tk1.25 crore.
Before its released, the film generated huge interest among movie-goers and the official trailer on Facebook and Youtube went viral, which was a rare incident for a Dhallywood film.
The film has been mostly shot in Thailand and presents some furious action scenes and romantic songs at some beautiful locations.
