We are still having an affair: Tisha-Farooki

Update : 13 Feb 2014, 07:05 PM

Tisha and Farooki still spend stolen moments together like a new couple, as their busy schedule keeps them apart most of the time. The celebrity duo are both very much occupied in their individual fields and struggle to manage time for each other and enjoy the precious moments. Director Farooki and actress Tisha first met on the set of telefilm Parapar in 2004 and got married on July 16, 2010. Dhaka Tribune caught up with the romantic couple on the occasion of Valentine’s Day and here are the excerpts from the chit-chat.

How did the affair begin?

Tisha: It just happened. I don’t know any exact moment or date from which we started to feel for each other. But the comfort between us as working partners in many projects created the confidence that we would be perfect for each other as life partners.

Who proposed first and how?

Farooki: Well, it was in October 2005 on the set of a TV play where I first let my feelings known to Tisha. I said: “I have had a few affairs before, but I never felt like to marrying any of them. But when I think about you, I can confidently say that I want to marry you.” That’s how the journey began and the affair is still going on.

Did your families agreed smoothly?

Farooki: My family was more than happy that I finally agreed on tying the knot and they like Tisha a lot.

Tisha: By the time I informed my family about Farooki, we had already worked in many projects and he made a good impression. So, everything went smoothly.

We know you are really happily married. But, what are the little things which annoy you about each other?

Tisha: Well, I can remember one: The mosquito net. I used to hate mosquito net while Farooki could not sleep without it. But gradually I adopted sleeping under it. But Farooki’s job is put on the net every day.

Farooki: Relationship works smoothly when couples have issues to argue about. It is like music, without voids, music cannot be created.

What do you like best about one another?

Farooki: Tisha is very family oriented and that is what made me to propose marriage to her, since I was like a vagabond. She is my anchor and works as a magnet to bring me home.

Tisha: Farooki is honest and always keeps his promises. He promised me that after marriage he would allow me to work as I like. And he has never ever broken the promise.

What is the secret behind a happy married life?

Tisha: Never “try” to become one by forcing yourself. Keep on respecting your partner’s choices and decisions, and at one point two can really become one.

Farooki:The root is to ensure the happiness of your partner. I am always positive to make Tisha happy and the rest of the things just automatically happen.
