The body of the policeman, who died undergoing treatments after being attacked in Rajshahi, was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital late on Thursday.
The body of Siddhartha, 25, was taken to DMCH around 11:30pm. Authorities said the body will be kept in the morgue before performing autopsy Friday morning.
Policemen came under attack in Rajshahi city in the noon. At least seven were injured when miscreants hurled crude bombs at them near Bhubanmohan park.
Boalia police Officer-in-Charge Ziaur Rahman said Siddhartha received injuries to his chest during the attack. He was later flown to Dhaka Combined Military Hospital.
He said the attack was carried out in protest to arrest of some BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami activists on Wednesday.
Later, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Boalia zone Assistant Commissioner Shahin Ahmed said Siddhartha succumbed undergoing treatments there around 9:20pm.
