On Thursday, the Election Commission finalised the electoral code of conduct. Polls-schedule are expected about 45-days ahead of the January elections.
The EC are moving for elections amidst a political stand-off between two main political parties over how the polls will take place.
But, CEC Rakibuddin Ahmad said the commission wanted a credible polls with the participation of all. They will wait “until last” for the opposition.
Until far, ruling Awami League are moving ahead with their plans of polls under an all-party cabinet. Party nomination papers were sold and the ministers 'resigned' from cabinet.
On the other hand, BNP were waging tough movements calling hartals in long spells for demand of a non-party neutral polls-time administration. Many people died during hartal violence.
