Former BNP MP Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu and Awami League leader Torab Ali have been awarded life-term imprisonment for their involvement in the BDR carnage in 2009.
The court also fined them Tk500,000 each.
Third Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge M Akhtaruzzaman pronounced the verdict in a temporarily set up court at Bakshibazar Alia Madrasah.
The court also sentenced to death 151 mutineers for their involvement in the carnage.
