The officer-in-charge of Hazaribagh police station was injured when Shibir activists hurled crude bombs at him in the capital’s Dhanmondi area this morning, the last day of the 60-hour hartal.
OC Kazi Mainul Islam has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Maruf Hossain Sardar, deputy commissioner of Ramna division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told the Dhaka Tribune over phone that Shibir activists threw crude bombs at OC Mainul when a team of police were patrolling Dhanmondi area around 6:45am.
The OC was kept under observation at DMCH, he said.
