In the afternoon, divers recovered the body of Belal Hossain, a resident of Mohorkoya village of Natore Sadar upzila, from the river.
The people who remain missing are Chander Ali, 55, Arzed Ali, 43, Jamrul Islam, 25, Bhasan Ali, 28, and Jamal, 52.
A team of divers from Rajshahi and a fire service team of Lalpur are trying to recover the missing persons.
Obu Obayed, officer-in-Charge of Lalpur police station, said the boat carrying about 50 labourers sank in the river while it was going to Polashir Char from Bilmaria Ghat in the upazila around 8:30am.
After the capsize, all of the workers managed to swim shore, but six people went missing. Later, divers recovered the body of Belal around 5pm.
Relatives of the missing people are waiting on the bank of the river.
